Alexandra Mastriana-Solal Striving to Rid the World of MS
I am particularly passionate about finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. After discovering I had MS, a whirlwind of emotions flooded my thoughts, but something in particular rose to the surface: "How will I fight this battle and make sense of it all?" I knew if I could just make something good come out of this bad situation it would be a step in the right direction. If I could just help others, I knew it would help me. Having MS has not been an easy journey, but with friends and family by my side, striving to rid the world of MS, has made it bearable and purposeful for me. Let's keep making "Lemonade out of Lemons" by donating to this worthy endeavor. I want to be able to say: "I HAD MS." Thank you!$24,299.30 donated of $50,000.00 goal -

Bill Rotella
Both Maureen and I are members of the Alexandra’s Angels cycle team, and the namesake is our very dear friend Alexandra Mastriana who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013. Since then she and her husband Ron have spearheaded an effort to help find a cure for MS. Our 2019 team goal is to raise $250,000, which will propel our team past the million-dollar milestone in just 6 years. 100% of your donation goes directly to the repair & remyelination we support at UCSF. Over the years both Alexandra & Ron have supported many South Florida charities and community programs. They are vested into making their city and surrounding community better. Both Ron & I served side-by-side on the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County for many years, and I can attest to his drive, passion & commitment to get things done for the betterment of others. This is one of the many reasons why I am involved with the Alexandra’s Angels. It’s important to me to have your support in this most significant endeavor by way of donation and participation. Through the years I’ve been involved in some really special fundraising initiatives, but this team and our mission is exceptional. We would love to have you attend our February 28th kickoff party at Thasos, where, besides enjoying delicious food and drinks, you will be able to meet the top MS researchers in country who are flying in from San Francisco especially for our events! Our MS Challenge is Saturday March 2nd at Birch State Park. It’s a perfect day for the entire family to enjoy beginning with a 5k run/walk, then a 20 mile bike ride, and then core yoga with Paige Held of Yoga Joint. March is national MS awareness month – lets start if off right with a ride in the park! “In golf as in life, it is the follow through that makes the difference.” Let’s cure MS together!$7,150.00 donated of $10,000.00 goal -

Francesco Mastriana – MISSION MOM
Moms are sacred. Each of us would do anything for our mothers. Please help me raise money for my mom’s foundation: “Alexandra’s Angels MS Foundation, Inc.” Everything we raise we donate directly to the #1 MS Hospital in the United States, The University of California San Francisco. It’s not always easy for my mom, but she works really hard at taking care of herself AND our family. I’m really proud of her for fighting for a cure, and there’s nothing more I would love to say than: “My mom USED to have MS.” Thank you.$550.00 donated of $1,000.00 goal -

Jen Garvin – Lined Up for Our First #BikeMS Event
When I found out that Alexandra had MS, I thought she would never be able to do those athletic things that we had always loved to do together. Six months after her diagnosis, we formed a team that could have been called the "bad news bears of cycling" dressed in baggie shorts and running shoes, equipped with old, borrowed bikes, mp3 players, and skateboard helmets, lined up to roll through our first BikeMS event as "The Alexandra's Angels". To my surprise, we didn't fall, we didn't take out a peloton and we saw Alexandra crush a 50-mile bike ride with style and grace. The best part? Loving a special girlfriend, who on a hot September 2013 day, in a cold hospital room, where most of us would have heard "you need to quit". Alexandra heard "You need to rise". That's why I ride.$2,295.00 donated of $1,000.00 goal -

KK Kennedy – Let’s Cure Multiple Sclerosis Together!
In 2014 I got a call from teammate Colleen Dunne saying "we're forming a team for the MS150 Breakaway for Alexandra and you’re riding" and the rest is history. To Alexandra, MS meant: MUST START a cure! From our small team of 17 riders our first year, to our own MS Challenge in 2018, we are the "Little Team That Could" and have raised over $850,000 in five (5) years to battle Multiple Sclerosis. I'm focused on that million-dollar mark, keeping in mind all the MS doctors and patients we have helped along our journey. We support the nation’s top MS doctor & researchers at the UCSF. Their Repair & Remyelination project is about to turn the tide against Multiple Sclerosis. I applaud Alexandra's will and compassion to help herself by helping others. So, here's to Alexandra, and her indomitable spirit to kick MS right where it counts! MS messed with the wrong woman. It just takes one person to take a stand a make a difference. So let’s do our “giving while we’re living” and Cure Multiple Sclerosis Together! 100% of what you give goes directly to the UCSF team.$180.00 donated of $2,500.00 goal -
